Ib. כשם שנתנו פ׳ ידים לטהרותוכ׳ as proximity within reach of the hands is made a criterion for levitical uncleanness (Toh. VII, 2), so it is made for wine (suspected of having been touched by an idolater, v. נֶסֶךְ); a. e.פ׳ ידים ודגלים prostration accompanied by stretching of hands and feet.
